Christ Lutheran Church - \"New Life in Christ\"

"New Life in Christ" Bible Information Class at Christ Lutheran Church, beginning September 26, 2008 and lasting through February 20, 2009.

Christ Lutheran Church invites members of the community, especially the Clarksville and River Hill area, to join them for a special Bible Information Class this fall. The class is open to all and designed for anyone who would like to get better acquainted with the Bible, and know better who God is.

This in-depth, 20 lesson course entitled New Life in Christ, introduces participants to basic Christian doctrines by leading them through the Christian Scriptures. Attendees will learn what the Bible has to say about things, not just what "the church" teaches, and no previous knowledge or experience with the Bible is needed. This survey of the teachings of Scripture is ideal both for those exploring Christianity for the first time and for believers wanting a review.

The class will meet at the church on Fridays at 7:30 pm, beginning September 26. The course is offered free to the public, and no advance registration is required. Topics to be covered over the 20 weeks include: the Bible (What is it, and what should we do with it?), the nature of God, prayer, baptism, the Lord's Supper, the 10 Commandments and Christian living, creation, and, central to it all, salvation in Jesus Christ.
